Terms of Service

This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any inconsistency between this English version and the Japanese version, the Japanese version shall prevail.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using Vidot (the “Service”). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 (The Service)

The Service is a life-logging application for capturing and recording short videos and looking back on them in chronological order.

The Service is not primarily intended for editing, sharing, or distributing videos.

Article 2 (Conditions of use)

You use the Service at your own responsibility.

You must not infringe the portrait rights, privacy, copyrights, or other rights of third parties in what you capture and record. When filming other people, you must obtain their consent where necessary.

You must not use the Service for any purpose that violates laws or public order and morals.

Article 3 (Management of data)

Video data you capture or create with the Service is stored on your own device.

We have no servers or databases that store or manage your video data. You are responsible for backing up and preserving your data.

To improve the quality of the Service, we may collect usage data that does not identify you or the content of your records, within the scope set out in our Privacy Policy.

Article 4 (Purchases and Premium)

Some features of the Service (such as recording more than 8 clips a day and adding past videos and photos to Vidot) are provided as a paid “Premium” offering.

Purchases, payments, and cancellations of Premium are made through the App Store (Apple) and are subject to the terms set by Apple.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. You can cancel at any time from your App Store settings.

Article 5 (Disclaimer)

We accept no liability for any damage you incur through use of the Service.

We do not guarantee the following:

Article 6 (Changes to and termination of the Service)

We may change the content of the Service or stop providing it without prior notice to you.

We accept no liability for any damage you incur as a result.

Article 7 (Intellectual property)

Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the Service itself belong to us or to their rightful owners.

Rights to content such as videos you capture or create belong to you.

Article 8 (Changes to these Terms)

We may change these Terms as necessary.

The revised Terms take effect when they are posted in the Service or on our website.

Article 9 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
